D Bratz Mini Badminton Tournament

Venue : Pusat Belia, Bandar Seri Begawan

Date : Sunday, 25th day of May 2008

Time : 8am

The game will be divided into four categories:-

Two Singles (Females)

One Double (Males)

Five Double (Females)

Two Mixed Doubles (Male and Female)

Please note that a round-robin format will be employed in the Five Double females’ category.

Scoring System

The scoring format for this tournament will be on 15points per game.

Basic Rules

To win the match, you have to win 2 out of 3 games or win a straight set of 2 games.

In doubles, the first side to score 15 points wins the game.

In women's singles, the first side to score 11 points wins the game.

If the score becomes 13-all (10-all in women's singles), the side which first scored 13 (10) shall exercise the choice to continue the game or to 'set' the game to 18 (13) points. If the score is 14 – all, the first side which scored 14 shall exercise to continue the game to 17.

The side winning a game serves first in the next game.

Only the serving side can add a point to its score.

General Terms & Conditions

All decisions made by volunteer officials and the Head Official are final. Please respect all decisions made, as it is crucial to the flow of the competition as well as in the best interest of all involved.

In the case where a player is injured and deemed unfit to continue by the officials, the player shall have to be forfeited from the match.

Organizers will not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage occurs during the tournament.

Opponent team must provide at least 8 people for umpiring and linesmen throughout the tournament.

Players are advised to bring along their own racket as none will be provided. Only shuttlecocks will be provided.

Registration will be from 8.00 to 8.15 am on the day and the organizing committee aims to start the tournament by 8.15 am. Cooperation is needed from all teams to avoid any unnecessary delays.

Players are advised to be ready 10 minutes before the matches start. Players who do not turn up on their matches will be forfeited. If late, a 5 minutes waiting time may be posed depending on time situation. All decisions are to be finalized by the Head Official.

The Head Official has the right to alter the rules to ensure it ends in time and according to schedule.
