WHAT IF THE BALL IS CAUGHT IN THE AIR?

Suppose you’re on first base with
less Tan two out and the next
batter hits The ball in the air
towards an outfielder (this is called
a FLY BALL, or, if it’s hit on a low,
hard trajectory, a LINE DRIVE).
Well, as soon as the outfielder
catches the ball before it hits the
ground (and the laws of physics tell
you this will happen within
seconds), then the batter is out - at
which point you’re no longer forced
to run to second, since there’s no
batter-runner coming to occupy
first. The force is off.

Instead, you can choose whether to
advance to second or not and so
the defensive team can’t get you
out with a Force Play. They can
only get you out by tagging you
with the ball: a TAG OUT or Tag
Play. That’s why, if the ball is hit in
the air towards a fielder when
you’re a forced runner, you
shouldn’t automatically take off for
the next base, because the catch
might be made and the force
removed.

AND HERE’S THE KEY POINT:
you cannot advance to the next
base on a caught fly ball unless
your foot is in contact with the base
you’re already occupying when the
catch is made, or afterwards. This
is called TAGGING UP. You must
tag up before you can advance
after a caught fly ball. Why? It’s a
rule!

What's the best way to build abdominal muscles?

Answer: This is by far the most frequently asked question I get. Abdominal muscles are the
most desired muscles that people (male or female) want developed and improved.

Usually, the questions are followed by comments such as, "I do 100 sit-ups a day and I'm not
seeing any results.” That is why we are here. This book will outline the information you need to
improve your body in this region, which I often will refer to as the ‘core’ region.

And this core musculature is made up of many different muscles and muscle groups. To target
the entire core area we must address each of these groups and prescribe specific exercises. All
that we do must correspond to improving not only aesthetics but also their natural function if you
want results.
Exercise is an extremely important, however not the only factor considered when
defining the midsection. Everyone has abdominal muscles; however, most of the
population never sees them due to the “spill over effect” of fat hanging around their
midsection. The trick or solution to finally viewing the abdominal region underneath is
simply a core-conditioning program like this coupled with a fat loss nutrition program
like Don Lemmon’s KNOW HOW.
If you want to see the core region and the six-pack,
the fat has got to go. This is done through diet. The shape of what lies beneath
depends upon your conditioning.

By making a couple of adjustments to your current schedules, you can have those prized abs
you’ve always wanted within a couple of weeks or months in extreme cases, and not years as
you might have expected.

PREFACE
All sciences are making an advance, but Astronomy is moving at high
speed. Since the principles of this science were settled by Copernicus,
four hundred years ago, it has never had to beat a retreat. It is
rewritten not to correct material errors, but to incorporate new
discoveries.
At one time, Astronomy studied mostly tides, seasons, and telescopic
aspects of the planets; now these are only primary matters. Once it
considered stars as mere fixed points of light; now it studies them as
suns, determines their age, size, color, movements, chemical
constitution, and the revolution of their planets. Once it considered
space as empty; now it knows that every cubic inch of it quivers with
greater intensity of force than that which is visible in Niagara. Every
inch of surface that can be conceived of between suns is more wavetossed
than the ocean in a storm.
The invention of the telescope constituted one era in Astronomy; its
perfection in our day, another; and the discoveries of the spectroscope
a third—no less important than either of the others. New discoveries
are made every day with the advancement of telescopes. The Hubble
space telescope has let man see further into the universe then ever
before. Astronomy and space science is an ever changing study, and
possibly the most exciting of the sciences. It is for one reason that this
book was written, to hopefully interest more people in the exciting
study of the universe around us.

HAPPY READING!

Chapter One

Secrets Unraveled

Harry slowly raised his head and stared morosely at the familiar visage
of number four, Privet Drive. What had already been a horrible day was
rapidly getting worse. Not only did he have to appear unannounced on
the Dursleys’ doorstep (something he knew they’d have no problem
expressing their displeasure over), but he’d also have to tell them
that two other freaks would be joining him this afternoon. The corner
of Harry’s mouth twitched humorlessly as he envisioned how they’d take
the news.

He’d left Ron and Hermione at King’s Cross station a little over an
hour ago. They were each going to make quick stops at their respective
homes before Apparating to Privet Drive. Harry smiled fondly,
remembering their show of solidarity. He hadn’t been expecting it; he’d
thought he’d be going on alone. Although he was desperately worried
about them and the remainder of their quest, he had to admit that the
thought of some support while facing his relatives was quite nice
indeed.

Harry had thought it would be better – or at least less embarrassing –
if he arrived at Privet Drive first and prepared his relatives for
their arrival. He’d wanted to get away from the Hogwarts Express and
the other students as quickly as possible…before he ran into Ginny...
